First Security Company to Have Licenced Renewed in Afghanistan

Once again, Hart becomes the first security company to have its operating licence renewed by the Ministry of Interior in Afghanistan.  The renewal comes as Hart celebrates 20 years in the security sector and 15 years of continuous operations in Afghanistan.

Compliance with both local and international requirements has been critical to our success story.  Hart is certified to ISO 18788 and ANSI PSC1 standards – the international benchmark for our industry based on the International Code of Conduct, which Hart helped draft.  In Afghanistan we work hard to remain compliant and fulfil our responsibilities to the Afghan Government.  Our exceptional team of local staff have been with us since we started our journey in 2004 and we are proud of what we have achieved together.

Today, Hart is one of the few independent, international companies in the country.  While our origins can be found in the reconstruction sector, today we focus on diplomatic and humanitarian missions.  From guarding embassies to training diplomats, from election monitoring to journey management, Hart is there every step of the way delivering risk management services with respect and professionalism.

“I couldn’t be prouder of Hart’s achievements in Afghanistan.  I witness our management and operational staff deliver the highest level of professionalism, time and again.  The Government’s support of our business though renewed licensing is testament to our belief – that only by working together can we really succeed.” James Houghton, Chief Operating Officer, Hart
